25th - Derby City, KY

The 25th Chapter of the Brothers Keepers Motorcycle Club (BKMC) was formed in Louisville, KY, in February 2014. Louisville is the home of the world famous Kentucky Derby, which is why we decided to name our Chapter the Derby City Chapter. We also ride horses (steel horses). The Derby City Chapter is made up of career, volunteer and industrial firefighters active and retired. We currently have 25 Members and Associate Members. Most of our members primarily serve the Jefferson County area, but we also have members from Oldham and Henry counties in Kentucky and Madison County, Indiana. Fire Departments represented by our Chapter include; Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS, Clifty 6, Dow Corning, LaGrange, Louisville, Lyndon, North Oldham, Okolona, and South Oldham. The Derby City Chapters purpose is to create an environment where firefighter, who like to ride, can get together for fellowship and fun. Additionally, we host an annual Burn Run event raising proceeds to send kids who have been affected by fire to a Burn Camp where they can be themselves among other adolescents that have experienced the same traumatic event.

Burn Run 2018

Welcome to the Brother's Keepers Motorcycle Club Pre-Order site for our 4th Annual Burn Run event to be held September 8th at Bluegrass Harley Davidson, 11701 Gateworth Way, Louisville KY. You don’t have to ride to enjoy the event where there will be fire trucks, free food, 50/50 cash pots, door prizes, live music, silent auctions, inflatables and face painting for the kids, and great bikes.   It's a FREE event with a $25 dice run (Payouts for the High and Low Rolls)

Did you know? Kentucky does not have a Burn Camp for children. Fortunately, Kentuckiana children have an option now. The Hoosier Burn Camp! The Hoosier Burn Camp is a non-profit organization committed to providing life-changing experiences for young people who have suffered the physical and emotional trauma associated with a severe burn injury. All proceeds earned from this Burn Run will go to supporting our Kentuckiana kids!

We can only do this with your support through attending the event or purchasing a T-shirt.  All funds raised are used to send kids who have survived a fire to Burn Camp which costs $1100 per child.  By pre-registering for the Burn Run before September 8th you save money. The dice run will cost $20 instead of the $25 when you pre-register.

Our day starts at Bluegrass Harley Davidson beginning at 11 am with registration. We will start to roll out on the ride at 12 pm. The last group will leave at 1 pm.  The ride will take a couple of hours, riding through the country ending back at Bluegrass Harley Davidson where we will have free food, bike games and auction and much, much more. Please mark your calendars now and pre-register below.

For those from out of town, we have a block of rooms at a discounted rate ($99, regularly $149). The hotel is located next door to where our event is being held. If you’d like to reserve at a room, call Staybridge Suites Louisville East at (502) 244-9511 or (800) 238-8000 and use code BKMC.
